Before establishing Apelso Trust Zrt with Istvan Illes and Peter Vajai, Gyorgy had been a corporate lawyer for 33 years. Between 2000 and 2017, he was leading the cooperating law firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Budapest alongside Laszlo Reti.
He is an expert in corporate transactions and he had led the work on a number of significant cases including the regulation and privatisation of the Hungarian electricity industry, the reorganisation of the public transportation system in Budapest and the selling of a number of banks.
After 2010 Gyorgy focused on family asset management along with succession planning at businesses. He began advising on trustee and protector services and trust structure setups once this legal framework was introduced in Hungary.
